Can my hedgehog have red ceder bedding?

well hi my hedgehog jabu needs a different bedding because that critter care has this weird odor then i have a litter box he uses it the litter is yesterdays news it smell nice when its in the bag and i figured the wheel was the problem i took it out and cleaned it a a couple days after its smells and i forgot if i could use red ceder becuase i used it one time it smelled way better than critter care but i dont know someone help ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
